In the Words of our Monterey Guests

We stayed at Casa Munras during our trip to Monterey, and it was the second hotel we booked while in town. Overall, it was a really lovely stay and such a great location for exploring the area. The room itself was beautiful and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable, which is always a big plus after a long day out. We also appreciated the A/C unit, a large mirror for getting ready, and the overall cozy feel of the space. Little touches like a 12:30pm late checkout and breakfast served until noon made the stay feel relaxed and accommodating. One of the best parts is that everything is within walking distance, which made it so easy to get around without having to constantly drive. The only minor hiccup was at the pool. It's a pretty big space, but there weren't any towels available when we got there. That said, staff brought them out right away, so it was quickly resolved. Honestly, we spent most of our time at the beach anyway, so it didn't impact our stay much. They also offer a 15% discount on spa services, which I didn't get a chance to use this time, but it's a nice perk if you're planning a more relaxing stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely consider staying again next time we're in Monterey.

Wednesday Signature Burger & Beer pint is a new favorite! Great service, great food, everyone was happy at my table. Cocktails were delicious and wine was local and superb, too.3

We really enjoyed this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and beautiful!

Our menu choices were delicious. We had a beet salad, bread with cheese and honey, and the shrimp boil (Monday night special. The spices in the shrimp boil were wonderful. Our server was very attentive and offered advice on menu items.

This place is Montereys best hotel. We stay here every year.. its close enough to walk to downtown. And fisherman's wharf if you are up to it.. and in the summer months you can catch a trolly to cannery row, from downtown, for free. The fitness center doesn't open until 6am.

We went to happy hour at Esteban’s, and it was fabulous! We sat outside, near the fire. We shared tapas, and loved every one. We had the Brussel sprouts, the meatballs, the empanada, and fried calamari. We were pleasantly surprised to find fried artichoke pieces alongside the calamari. The accompanying sauces were also delicious. We definitely recommend you try it!

We booked a Deluxe Room with King bed and fireplace. Lovely, spacious room. Very easy to walk into the town within minutes. We had a great breakfast in the restaurant. The hotel staff couldn’t be more helpful. Would book this again without hesitation.

$1 oysters and happy hour menu! It’s the only place to be on a Sunday evening

Beds were comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful, pool is a bit small, but pleasant place to sit and relax.

I think Esteban has fantastic food, service and a great outdoor patio. The key is service but when it is complemented by great food …wow. Teddie balestreri has taken this restaurant to a new level in Spanish tapas and paella . CJ the bartender is fantastic . Whenever I visit monterey , Esteban’s is on my visit list
