In the Words of our Monterey Guests

Had a nice preconcert dinner here. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a couple of appetizers and the paella. I would be happy to return the next time that I am in town.

Quiet elegance, cozy ambience, restful and relaxing property. The heated pool feels like home. The sporadically placed seating invites you to enjoy a moment of tranquility. Each room is designed with Spanish influence. Beds are high quality firm and pillows are feather. Bathrooms are quaint, and provide all the necessary cleansing needs. The fitness center is small but provides all the necessary equipment for a good workout. Hotel staff deserve 5 stars as they are always pleasant, helpful, and genuine. The Esteban restaurant is delicious. (*fun fact, there is an on site herb garden where you will find chefs clipping for the dinner service and drinks) I especially enjoyed the Brussels sprouts. There about three gas fire pits to sit by and enjoy tapas and beverages. In the hotel lobby, enjoy fruit infused water and complimentary fruits in the afternoon. In the morning find delicious hot coffee and tea complimentary. Overall, this hotel is a great choice to reset.

We stayed here while visiting Monterey, the aquarium, whale watching tours, and Big Sur. The location was fantastic, the rooms were comfortable, and the staff was always welcoming. After long days of exploring, it was nice coming back to a quiet and relaxing hotel. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

Great hotel. Family friendly and quiet. Pool is heated. Short walk to beach and wharf. Parking does get full, so you may have to park away from your room but still on the property. Staff is very friendly. No hesitation to stay here again.

A great hotel located in downtown Monterey. It is walking distance to a bunch of great placea to eat as well as the bus depot for an easy way to travel. The free trolley bus the city runs during the summer was just a few minutes walk.

Absolutely beautiful room in the heart of Monterey. The staff is exceptionally friendly.

A quick stop on our road trip up the coast. Great spot, centrally located, staff was kind and helpful, and rooms were spacious and clean.

We love Wednesday night burger night. My husband says it's the best burger in Monterey County! The deal on Wednesday includes a burger, fries, and an adult libation for $18. This burger on the regular menu by itself is $29. We love the outdoor patio as well. It's welcoming and beautiful. Evonne is the best server too! So friendly and hospitable!

I loved the location, quite environment, on site restaurant, heated pool, big room, and easy check in! We loved pretty much everything about the hotel, definitely coming back when we come back Monterey! I appreciated Erica who checked us in, she was so kind and gave us recommendations!
