Such a lovely piece. Warm welcome at check in. We were second floor in a block of rooms at the back of the site. Rooms were huge, warm and had a fire! Beds were so comfy. We walked out to the town & ate at Melville tavern. The town is lovely and felt very safe

loved everything about it. Great location too!

I took my daughter for a coastal drive up Hwy 1 from Los Angeles to San Francisco in March of 2017 while she was on spring break. It was the most beautiful experience to stop spend each night in a coastal town -- Santa Barbara, Cambria, Monterey. I waited until the night before to see what Priceline would offer up and this hotel looked like it would be a beautiful experience and IT WAS! The hotel was beautiful in its mediterranean/Spanish style. The property is cozy and clean, warm and inviting. The staff are helpful and not over-bearing. I felt at home. We both got massages and enjoyed the outdoor whirpool. Dinner was delicious and after dinner, I enjoyed a glass of wine beside the outdoor fire pit. A fabulous venture before our breath-taking drive over the Golden Gate bridge. Thank you Casa Munras! I look forward to visiting again.

Beautiful historic hotel. Rooms are sumptuous, very clean, and comfortable. Location offers great walkability for restaurant, shops, coast. Staff are friendly and John in reception is wonderful. There's a pool, spa, and restaurant also. Treat yourself and visit this tucked away gem. Rooms: Comfortable. Great bedding. Gas fireplace. Refrigerator. Safe. Dining by the fireplace was fantastic. Lia was an excellent waitress and this is my third time at Esteban. I would go back many more times if I am in Monterey for conferences. Thank you so much for the wonderful food.

I went here with my friend on a girls’ trip. We sat next to the fireplace and felt so cozy! Our server, Salome, was very attentive and helpful, and made excellent recommendations for food. Everything we ate was delicious and the presentation was lovely. I especially enjoyed the empanadas and siesta thyme cocktail. We’re looking forward to coming back next time we are in Monterey!
