In the Words of our Monterey Guests

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner on the patio. Our waitress was fantastic. Her personality shined throughout our evening. We both had the paella (Monterey) and the (Primavera). We are from the Bay Area peninsula and decided to bring our dog this time. Again our waitress and staff made our Shelby feel like home!!

The whole experience was great. The room with fireplace, the spa treatment and the location close walking distance to wharf and downtown.

This is such a relaxing and welcoming place to stay. It never seems crowded even when they are full and the restaurant is wonderful, atmosphere of outdoor patio restaurant is so pleasant. Free bike rentals a bonus! Great coffee houses across the street and around the corner. Short walk to busy Alvarado St.

The hotel is conveniently located in Monterey with many options for food and activities within walking distance. The hotel room was clean and very spacious.

Great stay. Walkable to most places or to the trolley. Bed was very comfortable.

Great location and a great place to stay.

We stayed at Casa Munras while traveling to and from Northern California. Both stays were very enjoyable - the hotel is very clean, beds and linens are very comfortable, the hotel is well run, and in a great location. In addition, the hotel has a lot of thoughtful touches, like fireplaces in some rooms, multiple hooks and lots of storage in the bathrooms, outlets in good locations, etc. Really enjoyed our stays!

We returned for our 25th anniversary (we were here the first time for our 13th anniversary and I will say that it is still amazing as ever. We opted to attend during happy hour. They offer a nice happy hour from 4:30-6:00 daily. There were a couple of items that we had on our first visit that are no longer on the menu, but that is ok everything we did have was amazing. The brussel sprouts are a must-have, crispy with just a hint of char. We could have eaten a couple of bowls of them. Jamon Serrano Y Manchego is a nice variety of bites to pair together. Mejillones Y Alemjas is a nice combination of seafood and cooked perfectly. Westholme Wagyu Bavette had to be some of the most tender meat we have ever had. It was perfection on a plate. Our server Jessie had not been working at the restaurant very long but she was amazing. She made sure to answer all our questions, that we had everything we needed and to check on us regularly. She did not even mind that we ordered one thing at a time to enjoy each of them before ordering another. We will be back the next time we are in town.
