Wonderful tapas we had the sprouts and calamari. Lemon in the calamari was a real nice surprise. Tasty drinks too. Thanks for the atmosphere | Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 | Wait time: No wait
Great. We enjoyed the variety of the menu, the attentive and friendly staff, the outdoor patio with our dog and everything about this place. We will be back!
Estéban Restaurant - A+ Spanish restaurant in Monterey an absolute MUST!
Chef Steven and Sous Chef Calvin have delivered a menu that will dazzle your senses. The Moroccan lamb was off the hook, succulent, flavorful, balanced, with a brilliant date and mint Chermoula— absolutely lip smacking. As usual, the cocktails were A+. Esteban is an absolute MUST for an apex dining experience on the Monterey peninsula. Price point is also very accessible. Bravo!
I thought this was a lovely hotel, with beautiful grounds. They even have a mini vegetable garden! Everyone was very nice, the pool was great. I would definitely go back!
My boyfriend took me out for my birthday and we sat inside. It was a Thursday and pretty quiet, which was a good atmosphere to have a conversation. Our waitress, Lisdel, ensured our service was exceptional. We started out with the Kumamoto Oysters and Pulpo Frito (Spanish octopus) - both delicious. The oysters can with a glass dropper bottle containing their house-made hot sauce. For our main courses, I had the Ora King Salmon (with preserved lemon risotto, mascarpone, mustard greens, green garlic pesto) and my friend had the Flannery Beef Prime Ribeye (12oz dry-aged prime ribeye, foraged mushrooms risotto, braised broccoli leaves, roasted bone marrow butter), which were cooked perfectly. We ended with the Crèma Catalana (like creme brulee) The bus boy had taken the our appetizer plates, but left the silverware we used. Our waitress promptly replaced it with clean silverware. Chef Calvin was a friend of my date, so the chef came out to wish me a happy birthday - which was very nice

Went here for my bday weekend dinner and was seated in their back patio, which was really cute. The weather was mild so it was a great time to be outside enjoying the warm sun. Everything we tried was amazing so I highly recommend the bravas potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and the chicken paella. They also have a veggie paella option so check that out! We also had their red sangrias which was refreshing! Definitely worth checking this place out and the food portions were huge for a tapas food place! The service was prompt and friendly as well!
