In the Words of our Monterey Guests

We stayed at this hotel on August 26. At the front desk, we were greeted by a very pleasant young lady who checked us into our room very quickly at 1 p.m., as soon as we arrived, so we didn’t have to wait. We were also offered fresh fruit and a refreshing cold drink at the front desk. We booked a room with two queen-size beds. The room turned out to be very spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable, and the bed linens were clean and pleasant. The pillows were also very comfortable and clean. The fireplace added a special cozy touch to the room. The bathroom had all the basic amenities: shampoo, body wash, conditioner, soap, and body and hand lotion. Parking was an additional $17. There are many restaurants near the hotel, so the location is very convenient. We wanted to eat at 11 p.m. and found an excellent restaurant/bar just a 2-minute drive away that was open until 1 a.m. Also, just a 6-minute walk from the hotel, I found a wonderful place where I had a great massage.

So glad we ended up at Casa Munras. We had our four year old and small pug, and everyone loved it. We had breakfast vouchers for every day of our stay and it’s a great way to start the day. The food was really good. We tried the breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich, oatmeal, and parfait and they were very tasty. The OJ is fire also. The best thing about our stay was the service provided by the staff. Especially Rebecca in the restaurant. She was always friendly, helpful and efficient even when busy. We loved chatting with her and just having a nice relaxing breakfast. Her helper Jesse was also so friendly and did a good job as well. Thank you guys! The pool was very clean and felt pretty good anytime of day. The room was comfortable and spacious. The grass area was perfect for doggies and was always clean as well. The location is great and we will definitely stay here again.

A friend was getting married in the area. Casa Munras turned out to be a perfect location for easily accessing the activities and enjoying the beach and shopping. What I really love is the style and architecture of the hotel. It's beautiful.

Wonderful place to stay, great gym and lots of amenities.

Walking distance to old Monterey. The aquarium the fishing pier Fishermans wharf. 4 miles to Carmel by the sea the grounds are lovely the pool clean and in a beautiful setting the rooms are exquisite the beds so comfortable

Great local hotel in a perfect location. It was wonderful having a fireplace in the room and the pool was fun. Also had a good couples massage in the spa.

A great hotel located in downtown Monterey. It is walking distance to a bunch of great placea to eat as well as the bus depot for an easy way to travel. The free trolley bus the city runs during the summer was just a few minutes walk.

Great hotel. Family friendly and quiet. Pool is heated. Short walk to beach and wharf. Parking does get full, so you may have to park away from your room but still on the property. Staff is very friendly. No hesitation to stay here again.

We stayed here while visiting Monterey, the aquarium, whale watching tours, and Big Sur. The location was fantastic, the rooms were comfortable, and the staff was always welcoming. After long days of exploring, it was nice coming back to a quiet and relaxing hotel. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.
