The room was spacious and luxurious. We loved the fireplace in our room. We liked everything about this hotel. It was quiet and private, but very close to Cannery Row, and Fisherman's Wharf. Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5 Hotel highlights: Luxury
I believe our servers name was Jessica. She had given us absolute excellent service, fun & engaging. 5 stars for her. Restaurant is attached to hotel & we had some mild reservations but absolutely exceeded our expectations. I order the octopus, cooked perfectly & ate every bite. My mom ordered the vegetarian paella . She vegetarian & allergic to seafood. Server was able to provide options for her & duly noted. My son ordered the chicken & he loved it. Rose sangria was delicious not to sweet just right. The bar was stocked with a good selection of liquor (which is hard to find in hotels). Especially tequila, they had casamigos, azul & even codigo which made for a delicious espresso martini. Service staff was on point, refilling waters, clearing plates & constant surveillance. This was the best food we had experienced during our weekend trip to Monterey. We will definitely return & stay at this hotel
Although we were only in Monterey for one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Munras. The location is perfect; easy to drive to from the freeway, but also walkable to the old town and Fisherman’s Wharf. The room was comfortable, and full of character with parking space right outside. The pool was a nice space to chill for an hour too. Our only regret was not staying longer! Rooms: 4/5 | Service: 4/5 | Location: 5/5 Hotel highlights: Quiet
Just there for an overnight. Nice Spanish vibe decor in the room which was very comfortable. Had a great night's sleep as the bed was very comfortable. Didn't have any food at the hotel and we had breakfast nearby. There was plenty of free parking on the street outside.
Estéban Restaurant - This is a wonderful Spanish and Mediterranean tapas
This is a wonderful Spanish and Mediterranean tapas restaurant, so it's great for trying different dishes and sampling a variety. We began with what you might call a Brazilian negroni. Here the gin was replaced with cachaca which is the Brazilian cane sugar liquor; this was superb with great balance of bitter and sweet. Our tapas were patatas bravas which was crispy potatoes with a spicy sauce, garlic aioli and a fried egg on top, absolutely delicious. We continued with a flatbread of oyster mushrooms, goat cheese, chili sauce and fresh arugula; this could be a great dinner all by itself. Finally, we shared a Paella del Mar which had lots of clams, mussels and shrimp and most importantly the crispy rice at the bottom. I will definitely remember this Paella. A memorable dinner, thank you.
