In the Words of our Monterey Guests

We wanted something light and the "tapas hour" sounded good. It was a good location for us (not too far from our motel) and we like Spanish food. The papatas bravas (homefries in smoked paprika aioli topped by) were outstanding, the beet salad was good and the shrimp were too. Portion sizes were larger than we expected, though. The service was great. The cocktails and albarinho wine were good. We'd like to go back and try more items on the menu! Other diners were enjoying what looked like hamburgers and the dessert menu looked intriguing.

The hotel was very clean and our room was big and comfy. Loved everything about our room, dining was amazing! We will definitely stay again. We had great services at the the spa as well.

We loved staying there 2 nights ! We wish we would have ad an extra one but as we are on a road trip we had to keep driving south. Loved the size of the room and how clean it was . Perfect location and great staff. Thank you . Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5

We had a phenomenal meal at Esteban! The paella dishes were well worth the wait and the pulpo frito was to die for! But the staff truly helped to elevate the experience. They were very attentive and offered excellent recommendations! We will be going back every time we visit Monterey!

Beautiful outdoor dining, amazing food and charming service. Our whole family including our German shepherd had a wonderful time.

We are always pleased at Esteban….service is wonderful, food outstanding and great atmosphere! You won’t be sorry you decided to stay overnight there either..….free parking out front with food divine…..don’t miss this wonderful place…great for that special occasion.

It was gorgeous it felt welcoming not sterile like a hotel it had a private vibe almost like apartments instead of rooms the staff was the best I only stayed one day so I didn’t have time to enjoy everything it had to offer as I was also exploring the city

The newly transformed garden - outside dining area - is absolutely stunning. There are fire pits for cocktails plus chairs around a fireplace. They also have new heaters. The happy hour menu is limited yet very good. The shrimp has heat, but not too much - delicious! Beet salad was filled with beets - also delicious. The wage burger always is good. A little pricy the ambience makes it special.
